Filmed in the Andes, Kusi Kawsay (Happy Life) is an elementary school which offers nearly 100 children from economically challenged backgrounds an affirming and holistic education. This film was captured over a period of 2 days in Pisaq, Peru. Kusi Kawsay brings to light the discrimination and challenges children of the Andes face to gain access to an education while honoring their Andean identity, traditions and customs. It also highlights the achievements and hope that can be made possible when just given a chance.
